By providing your personal information to the Platform, you consent to the information handling practices described in this privacy policy.
Konnecto Top Tech LTD (“Konnecto”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) values the privacy of users whose personal information we receive through the use of our data collection and analysis platform services (the “Platform”). This privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information. Such personal information comes from our website visitors, campaign participants (for example, sweepstakes campaigns), etc. and such entities, for the purposes of this Privacy Policy, are considered the “End-Users”, “you”, or “your”.
By providing your personal information to the Platform, you consent to the information handling practices described in this privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect and Retain
Aside from any email address necessarily collected in association with a campaign, the personal information we collect is immediately converted to a form that cannot be traced to a natural person. (See Campaign Email Addresses, below.) This “Anonymised Data” is the only information that we retain.
Like most web-based services, we automatically (i.e. passively) receive and record information on our server logs from your browser. We may use a variety of methods, including clear GIFs (also known as “web beacons”) and “cookies”, to collect this information. We use both session and persistent cookies. The information that we may collect with these automated methods may include, for example, your IP address, cookie information, a unique device or user ID, browser type, and system type.
Otherwise, the Platform collects user information provided by you under the appropriate level of consent and when authorized by their authentication service, i.e. under a valid login.
2. Use of Collected Information
In general, we use the information collected from End-Users to give our clients the capability to better know their customers, fans, followers, etc. Given that the data we maintain is Anonymised Data, no personal information is ever provided to our clients except as necessitated by certain types of campaigns. (See Campaign Email Addresses, below.)
3. Disclosure of Collected Information
We never sell or rent the information collected by the Platform. However, we may share the Anonymised Data as follows:
Konnecto Service Providers
We may provide information to third parties for their use in performing internal business functions (e.g., maintenance, security, data analysis, or data hosting) on our behalf. We require such third parties to agree to only use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and for no other purpose than to provide us with necessary services.
Konnecto Subsidiaries
We may share the information with our subsidiaries in which case we will require the strict adherence by those subsidiaries to this Privacy Policy.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose the Anonymized Data if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is required by a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order or otherwise required by law. Additionally, we may disclose the Anonymized Data where we, in good faith, deem it appropriate or necessary to take adequate measures in the following cases: (a) if we suspect a violation of the terms of service or other agreements in which we enter; (b) to take precautions against potential liability; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Konnecto, any individual, or the general public; (d) to maintain and protect the security and integrity of our product, services or infrastructure; (e) to protect ourselves and our product, services or infrastructure from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; (f) to investigate and defend ourselves against third-party claims or allegations; or (g) to assist government enforcement agencies.
Promotional Purposes
We may share the Anonymized Data with our clients, prospective clients, partners or the press in order to demonstrate usage of our products, identify industry and advertising trends, or to generate publicity for our products.
4. Your Choices
As an End-User, you may elect not to provide any us with any personal information.
5. International Transfers of Information
The Platform is hosted in the cloud by an international service provider and the physical location of any data stored by the Platform is restricted to the Republic of Ireland.
6. Security and Notice
The security of your information is of paramount importance to us. We at all times use industry standard or better security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of all information under our control, both during its transmission and while in our possession. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of firewalls and encryption, including the encryption of data “at rest”. Although we make such efforts to maintain the security of such information, no methods of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure and, consequently, we cannot guarantee that such information will remain protected from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or alteration. Furthermore, while we make such efforts to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent “hackers” or other unauthorized persons from illegally accessing or obtaining this information.
If we learn of a security breach involving personal information, we will post a notice on our homepage or elsewhere on our website as well as make reasonable efforts to publicize such breach so that End-Users may take appropriate precautions, including contacting End-Users directly.
7. Children
We are obligated under applicable law and in our agreements to establish appropriate privacy policies in respect of individuals who qualify as children under the laws and regulations of the jurisdictions in which they interact with the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, the establishment of rules governing who is eligible to be an End-User, as applicable.
8. Campaign Email Addresses
In some cases, it is necessary to collect an email address from participants when they elect to participate in certain types of campaigns, such as a sweepstakes. In such cases, the retention of an email address is necessary for selection and notification purposes. When this occurs, (a) the email address is never associated with any other data collected by the Platform and (b) upon the completion of a reasonable waiting period to ensure that such campaign has reached its conclusion, all email addresses are purged. Notwithstanding, any individual email address shall be purged from every place in which it is stored upon receiving such request from such email address
9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at our sole discretion. When this occurs, we will change the “Effective Date” listed at the top of this Privacy Policy.
